Invited talk by – Ramya Sethuram
Meeting Objective: New-generation multiwavelength (radio/IR/optical/gamma-rays) facilities that will be available in the next decade are expected to advance our understanding of a wide variety of …celestial objects (from galactic compact stars, exo-solar planets, large-scale structures, up to the most distant galaxies in the Universe). With the availability of 3D multi-object spectroscopy, photometry, and imaging using radio/IR/optical/Gamma-ray telescopes (such as MSE, LSST, TMT, HCT, Euclid, 4MOST, WEAVE, SKA, uGMRT, CTA, ASTROSAT) with their large field of view, high sensitivity, plus spatial/spectral resolution, and complementary multi-wavelength data, the scientific outputs will be maximized in the domain of multi-wavelength astrophysics and cosmology in the next decade.
The proposed Franco-Indian workshop is very timely to bring observers, theoreticians, and instrumentation scientists together to address the forefront science goals for the next decade, design multiwavelength synergy projects, and strengthen collaboration, where both France, India, and their European partners are deeply involved at the fundamental technological and scientific levels.
The event is supported by the Indo-French Centre for the Promotion of Advanced Research (IFCPAR/CEFIPRA), a bilateral organization set up by the Department of Science and Technology (DST) of the Government of India, and the Ministry for Europe & Foreign Affairs, Government of France to enhance international collaborative research in the field of Science &Technology.
